Project Runway: Jay McCarroll run-a-way

Do you still remember the "Project Runway's" first winner and most popular contestant, Jay McCarroll? As the winner of the show's first season, McCarroll was awarded $100,000 and a mentorship from Banana Republic.

However, he turned down the money and Banana Republic mentorship after winning the competition, he didn't want to immediately jump into designing a line. Jay said that the Banana Republic mentorship wasn't useful for someone like himself who already had experience in the business.

In Spring 2007, Jay having his first collection after walk-away from the shadow of "Project Runway", which sponsored by the Humane Society of the United States, reflecting his anti-fur stance. But than, beside Jay launched an online boutique and blog at http://www.jaymccarroll.com/, its the only fashion show until now.

When the media asking Jay will he show for spring 2008? he said: "Maybe I’ll do it again, maybe I won’t. I’m still trying to sort it out. Fashion is a very limited thing, and I want to do other projects that might be different. Housewares maybe. Or children’s fashion. Or art. Or performance."

Without big support by fashion leader company, how far that Jay will get going and remain his name on this fashion industries by only sell T-shirts and bags?

Close friend of mine BB text me said get discover a new pasta restaurant during on the gym session. Than I check it on calender, damn! is middle of the month, if we continues having good foods, we might have to live in pain with litter cash in this month budget.

A day after. I saw this print ad on the newspaper, they have opening promotion which 100% RETURN voucher for what you spending on the bill. As a smart consumer, I think that's good offer for spending less get good foods. So, lets go to PASTA de GOHAN...

When we arrive, the restaurant is full house not available for walk-in, we have to take number get the table. The restaurant design is same like another counties, they have showing their pasta menus in front of the entry.

After 10 minutes, we got the table. The interior space is deco by display the pasta dishes mounting on main walls, modern Japanese style with warm lighting, kind of family friendly restaurant. But if you plan have a date there, please find another restaurant.

PASTA de GOHAN is franchise of PASTA de WARAKU. The menu basically is Japanese style Italian fusions, pasta and pizza is their main course. Since the promotion with return 100% voucher, so we decided paying for RM85 order the most expensive "lobster pasta" and "gratin set" plus drinks for our dinner, which get it back same value voucher for our second time visit...

The taste of foods is a bit light then the normal Italian cuisine, but food is fresh and healthy, its concept of PASTA de GOHAN dishes. Out of 10 point, I will give 7 point.

GOLD. The first concept fine Italian dining restaurant created by Dolce & Gabbana with collaborator Ferruccio Laviani. The restaurant downstairs is a bar, café and bistro open for both lunch and dinner, while upstairs is more formal restaurant serving for dinner only.

When guy meet his male friends, first topic for their mind is: "Have you joining gym?, which club that you go?". Now day, metrosexual guy is here and there in this city, showing good sharp body line no more longer for women only, man does too in their gym center, swimming pool and lot of the places which able to expose their masculine.

If you just join the gym, seem lot of the buff 6-footer with six pack abs around your vision and feel sorry about your chicken-chest. Please don't feel up sad for it, skinny body now is the trend in fashion world.


That's lot of funny thing happened in fashion world. The buff 6-footer with six-pack abs masculine ideal models at runway show in year 2000 is getting less favorite by designers. In the recent fashion shows, models is downsized to chicken-chested with hollow-cheeked body.
